Rashinban - Hongdae Branch

If you have a lot of time to spare and like digging through anime, manga, game, and kpop merch to find what you’re looking for, then deff check this place out. I LOOOVE coming here and looking through everything and finding stuff from my favorite series. This place has a ton of stuff so expect to spend some time here.

AK Plaza - Hongdae Branch

This place has a toooon of anime, manga, and video game stores to shop at. Don’t skip the lower floors cause there are a lot of cafes and shops selling merch from a ton of different stuff on each floor! The top floor is designated as the anime floor and has the most stuff up there, including a GIANT Animate shop.

Koriko Cafe - Hongdae Branch

This cafe is like a Studio Ghibli fan’s dream come TRUE! It is made to look like the bakery in Kiki’s delivery service and doesn’t disappoint. All of the food and drinks are adorably on theme as well and the gift shop has a lil something from a ton of different Ghibli movies as well!

Animation Sekai - Hongdae Branch

This cool shop is on the second floor in a building near the AK Plaza in Hongdae. They have a wide variety of goods, gachas, and kujis to browse! I’ve found a lot of gems here so I always check this store out.

Teyvat Tower (Genshin Cafe)

This is my favorite place to go in Hongdae fr!!! The themes are always super well done, the food and drinks are really yummy, the gift shop is always stocked up, and there's a table where people put Genshin stuff that can be taken for FREE~ I really recommend you go if you’re in Seoul!

Toonique - Hongdae Branch

This cafe not only has delicious food and drinks, but also has a decently sized gift shop and the second floor is decorated nicely according to the theme! I like this place, but you will need a reservation most of the time to eat inside. In my experience so far,I have been able to order food to go and buy merch from the gift shop without a reservation needed~

The Studio Ghibli Store AKA Dotori Forest – Lotte World Mall Branch

Also on Basement floor 1 at the Lotte World Mall, this Studio Ghibli store is tiny, but worth the visit. The story carries something from the majority of each Ghibli movie, however the majority of the merch is from Kiki’s delivery service and Totoro.

Animate - Lotte World Mall Jamsil

(애니메이트 잠실롯데점)

This Animate location is Basement floor 1 (back by the amusement park). This location has a cafe inside as well that always has a different theme from popular anime or manga or video games. This is a great place to go to find the hottest merch from new franchises!

Would You Gacha

(우주가챠 강남점)

If you find yourself in Gangnam, I highly suggest you make your way over to Would You Gacha! This place has a lot of Ichiban Kuji, gacha machines, and merch from a wide variety of franchises old and new!

Kukjeon International Electronics Center

This is one of my favorite places to go in Seoul because it is a huge building with multiple floors! While the 9th floor is where the mass majority of anime/manga/games goods are, the fandom items have spread down to the lower floors as well. The building does have parking, but it can get a bit expensive. Luckily there are buses and a subway that go there as well.
